Armand Bayou Nature Center

The Armand Bayou Nature Center offers people of all ages an opportunity to reconnect with nature and discover miles of trails chock-full with over 370 species of mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles. It encompasses about 2,500 acres of land full of wood, boardwalk and marshlands. There are plenty of things to do here like birdwatching, hiking, wildlife spotting, walking the trails, and much more. The crowning glory of this spot is the live animal displays, including bison, snakes, hawks, alligators, and the like.  It also houses a Martym Farm that features nineteenth century farm life in Texas. Visitors can explore the beauty on an electric pontoon boat called “Bayou Ranger” or canoe tours. A perfect place for recreation, sightseeing and immersing in the natural beauty!

Pasadena Little Theater

Way back in 1955, Pasadena Little Theater hosted a show in Pasadena and since then, it has been entertaining Pasadena’s denizens and visitors with its stunning plays, musicals, comedy shows and other performances. It continues to bring happiness and life to Pasadena. It is one of the oldest operating theaters in the area and features a wide variety of shows that are classic, funny, emotional and vibrant. Some of the popular shows held here include “Ring Around Elizabeth”, comedy “Bare foot in the Park”, “A Few Good Men”, musical “Man of La Mancha” and “Night Must Fall”, to name a few. Heritage Park and Museum

The Heritage Park and Museum preserves the documents, antiques and artifacts relating to the Pasadena heritage. It houses the historic Strawberry House and Pomeroy House that features vintage furniture, antiques, clothing and other memorabilia of the first settlers to the area. It showcases the life and times of early settlers, and Pasadena in the 1900s from agricultural town to oil and gas industries to the city’s role in formation of Texas.  Visitors can take a tour of the historic houses and gain an insight into the rich and interesting past of Pasadena. The museum also has a gift shop.

Red Door Theatre Company

Red Door Theater Company is a non-profit theater organization that is entertaining spectators of all ages since 2008. Its repertoire includes classics as well as original and new theatrical shows by local and traveling artists. It also hosts kids’ shows every season. San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site

Located just a few miles away from Pasadena, the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site encompasses battleground, battleship Texas and the San Jacinto Monument. The pivotal Battle of San Jacinto was fought on this historic site. This site has played a crucial role in the Texas history. Take a walk on the historic battlefield. It also include the tallest monument in the world- San Jacinto Monument which is 567 foot high topped with a 220 ton star and this monument is dedicated to the brave men who fought for Texas independence from Mexico in the Battle of San Jacinto. Visitors can take an elevator to the peak of the tower and enjoy the splendid views of the Galveston Bay, Houston and beyond.  Within the monument lies the San Jacinto Museum of History that features the battle history, Texas heritage and Texas culture through documents, exhibits, images, antiquities and other historical artifacts.  A guided tour is available that tell the fascinating stories of this historic spot!

Strawberry Park

Want to spend some time outdoors, head to Strawberry Park. Within the Strawberry Park, numerous tennis courts, lighted ball fields, picnic areas, playground, workout stations, basketball courts, micro-centers, a war memorial, a recreation facility, several benches, nature trails and an aquatic center welcomes people of all ages. Pay homage to the veterans of Pasadena who have served in all military branches at the war memorial. Take a brisk walk, engage in games like tennis or basketball, splash around in the swimming pool, and treat yourself to the picnic lunch after an awesome workout from all the activities here.
